Work Programs

• The POET Program: assists employers in reducing injuries on the job by improving the screening process for new hires utilizing BTE's proprietary technology and process. Developed specifically for each employer and their jobs, BTE's POET program has consistently delivered substantial savings to clients across industries.
  
• Functional Capacity Evaluations: can be prescribed by the physician, workers compensation case manager, or employer. A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a series of customized standardized tests which will measure the injured on prospective workers' physical ability to return or start work.

We are proud to have joined BTE in using their state of the art ER Functional Testing System, and the BTE Primus multi use ergometers. These 2 systems allow us to literally configure and replicate hundreds of job related tasks and representative rehabilitative excercises. We are also able to fully modify each activity to allow for safe progression and substantially reduce the risk of injury while preparing the worker to return to work.

We provide worker rehabilitation programs spanning from post-operative care and splinting, through work conditioning, work hardening, functional capacity evaluations, right up to the point the employee is ready to return to work. We offer "one stop" multidisciplinary therapy programs to suit all rehabilitation needs without the need to refer to multiple clinics in transition from the acute phase to the return to work phase of worker rehabilitation.

In additio we offer many diverse return to work programs, such as "on site" ergonomic analysis as well as educational programs for employees and managers relating to such topics as worksite ergonomics, proper lifting techniques, healthy back school and identifying and correcting musculoskeletal disorders risk factors in the workplace. We believe that the combination of in-clinic and on site rehabiliation programs offer a much more effective transition to returning to work sooner and safer. On-site "only" programs simply don't provide as much flexibility in rehabiliation programs, especially in the post operative and acute phases. In-clinic "only" programs don't offer contextually relevant activites needed for proper work transition.

Accent on Hands & Comprehensive Physical Therapy combines the best of both worlds, "in-clinic" rehabilitation, "on-site" work conditioning and hardening utilizing BTE primus and ER functional testing equipment, with the additional benefit of following the patient into the factory or office for on-site work transition programs.
